International Cooperation Program

BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS TO RAISE AWARENESS AND UNITY
WITH PEOPLE OF DIFFERENT CULTURES IN REALIZING CHILD’S WELFARE AND RIGHT

The Capacity Building Project for House Parents facilitated the exchange of knowledge on child welfare between Japanese Specialists and their local counterparts from the DSWD.FO3. On the other hand, the Chikara Program is an avenue for Japanese and local experts to work together to provide between training activities for children.

International Volunteer Program

In Japan, ACTION offers Work Camps and Study Tours as an opportunity for Japanese peoples to know the current state of developing countries, especially Philippines. This program provides the participants the opportunity to learn and help Filipino families through community immersion. ACTION’s fourth mission is also realized through this program.

International Understanding Program

In partnership with the Musashino City Board of Education, ACTION has been facilitating interactive learning sessions to grade school students to better understand the culture of different countries. Also, part of this program is to facilitate the exchange of letters and videos between Japanese and Filipino elementary school students, to better understand each other’s way of life.

Charity Shop

The products being sold in Sari-Sari, ACTION’s Charity Shop, are made by mothers from the Philippines. The Charity Shop links the shoppers to the communities where the products are made, which will hopefully encourage them to suppoet there products. The profit gained from the Charity Shop is used to fund the projects in the Philippines.
