Exciting news! Manila Central University (MCU) and A Child’s Trust Is Ours to Nurture (ACTION), Incorporated have officially joined forces for children’s welfare!
On August 15, 2024, key representatives from both organizations came together to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), marking the beginning of a promising partnership. MCU was led by its University President, Dr. Renato Tanchoco, Jr., accompanied by Ms. Mary Grace C. Antioquia, Head of the External Affairs Office; Dr. Maria Leonora B. Raboc, Faculty from the College of Medicine; Prof. Melvin D. Miranda, Dean of the College of Nursing; and Ms. Maria Elena C. Diasen, Associate Dean for Social Learning and Participation from the College of Nursing.
ACTION, Inc. was led by its Executive Director, Lani Bayron-Llanes, accompanied by Ms. Evangeline Grace J. Balais-Tiglao, Head of Operations for NCR; and Mr. Kazuya Nishizaki, a volunteer from the Japan International Cooperation Agency assigned to ACTION.
The event began with heartfelt messages from both leaders. Dr. Tanchoco shared inspiring stories of how even small changes can make a huge difference in the lives of children, expressing his excitement about the partnership. Ms. Bayron-Llanes echoed this enthusiasm, highlighting that MCU is ACTION’s first university partner, and expressing great anticipation for future collaborative projects.
