The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Philippines and A Child’s Trust Is Ours to Nurture, Incorporated (ACTION, Inc ) have conducted a follow-up assistance project to thirty-six (36) residential care facilities for children from the National Capital Region (NCR) and Region III who were part of the previous projects in 2016-2019 and 2012-2015. Part of this follow-up assistance project is the conduct of series of webinars for social workers, houseparent’s, and other staff from the centers.
Last August 25-28, 2020, eight (8) batches of webinars were conducted by ACTION, Inc. The webinar was focused on Managing Stress and Anxiety during COVID-19 Pandemic.
The second webinar will be conducted on September 4-9, 2020, and it will be about Teaching Children about Health and Sanitation Management. In line with the second webinar, JICA Philippines provided hygiene and sanitation materials to participating facilities in NCR and Region III.
Despite the condition we are experiencing right now, JICA Philippines and ACTION will always find a way to reach and help our partners in dealing with this pandemic.
