ACTION expresses its heartfelt appreciation for the Department of Education, Schools Division Office, Quezon City and the Schools, Principals Teachers, Parents, Students, Partners Institutions and communities that participated in the Philippine Children’s Summit 2018, held at the Quezon City Memorial Circle on October 27, 2018.
Although, there are positive feedback, we are painfully aware of the inconveniences experienced by teachers and students during the event. We deeply regret that some participants especially the children should have an unpleasant experience.
We feel the need to explain, however, that ACTION is not the main organizer of the event, and that the provision of food, transportation, venue and other arrangements were managed by the main organizers. Our role was, mainly, to obtain the participation of the schools, partner institutions and communities for the event. The management of the event does not reflect the values of ACTION as an organization and the work that it does. Nonetheless, we apologize.
We are working to ensure that complaints received are properly addressed by those responsible. Moreover, any other concern from the parties involved may be sent to us to be discussed with the main organizers. Rest assured that this kind of mismanagement will not happen again in any future activities with ACTION and you may continue to expect the high quality of work that we have been known for in all our other engagements.
