ACTION’s Karate No Chikara students bag awards in 1st Bulacan Invitational Karate Tournament

OLONGAPO CITY – Nine Karate students of ACTION’s Karate No Chikara program won gold, silver, bronze, and special awards in the recently concluded 1st Bulacan Invitation Karate Tournament held at SM Center Pulilan, Pulilan, Bulacan last April 30, 2023.

Two Karate students from Jireh Children’s Home dominated the 13 to 14 years old (Boys) and 15 to 17 years old (Girls) categories to secure the gold medal. PREDA Foundation’s very own also notched the top award in the 9 to 10 years old (Boys) category.

Meanwhile, Karate students from PREDA Foundation and ACTION’s partner communities settled for second place in the 18 years old and above (Women’s) and 13 to 14 years old (Boys) category, respectively. One representative from ACTION’s partner communities and another one from Jireh Children’s Home also won the Bronze medal in the 15 to 16 years old (Boys) and 9 to 10 years old (Girls) category. 

Two Karate students from PREDA Foundation and ACTION’s partner communities brought home special awards after finishing fourth in the 15 to 17 years old (Girls) category and 13 to 14 years old (Girls) category.

ACTION sent a total of 15 youth representatives in the competition. The Karate students, who represented ACTION’s partner communities and partner residential care facilities: Jireh Children’s Home and PREDA Foundation, are trained and guided by ACTION’s Karate Instructor, Senpai Jim Edison Rabaca.

The 1st Bulacan Invitational Karate Tournament – A Warrior’s Battle is organized by the International Karate Alliance KyokushinRyu – Bulacan Branch and is participated by nine Dojos (Karate schools) nationwide.
