Last 5 October 2016, ACTION Inc. was awarded with a Certificate of Accreditation by the Sangguniang Panlungsod of Olongapo City. ACTION has satisfactorily complied with the requirements for the accreditation of Civil Society Organizations, in accordance to the Republic Act 7160: Local Government Code and as promulgated in the Department of the Interior and Local Government Memorandum Circular No-2016-97.
The city government of Olongapo took credit of ACTION’s long time assistance to children and youth under the care of the City Social Welfare and Development Office.
This is a very significant milestone, as ACTION has been given the opportunity to participate in local governance and development processes in the locality. ACTION will ensure that the best interest of the children shall be brought forward in its engagement with the Olongapo City Council.
